MEET THE VISIONARY BEHIND tales
Bukky Asehinde is a purpose-driven powerhouse and the visionary founder behind Bellafricana and TALES – The African Lifestyle Experience. Her journey began with a deep conviction: that African creatives, rich in culture, talent, and originality, deserve more visibility, structure, and global recognition.
Frustrated by the lack of platforms that celebrated African craftsmanship in a structured and commercially viable way, Bukky launched Bellafricana in 2016. What began as a passion project quickly grew into a thriving community supporting thousands of African creative entrepreneurs, connecting them to resources, capacity building, collaborations, and now, global markets.
But Bukky didn’t stop there.
She knew African creatives needed more than just an online presence, they needed to be experienced. The world needed to touch, feel, and fall in love with African excellence in real time. And so, TALES was born.
Why TALES?
TALES (The African Lifestyle Experience) is a physical and immersive manifestation of everything Bellafricana stands for. It’s not just a showcase, it’s a cultural movement. It brings together storytellers, visionaries, creators, and buyers to connect with Africa’s best-kept secrets – its creatives.
